Vital Statistics:  30 kilos, neutered, 3 year old, male

Breed: Greek Shepherd cross (a bit of German Shepherd too?)

Temperament: Naturally anxious but super loving and cuddly once he trusts

Story: Born in Greece, found abandoned by the roadside with his sister, princely George arrived in the UK at 18 months old. When his new owner's circumstances changed. George had to move on and came into our care, leaving his sister behind. We suspect George has never got over the trauma of separation from his sibling to whom he was very bonded.  This has created anxiety for him.  George came a long way in his first foster but when faced with an overwhelming situation, he nipped and came back to kennels where sadly he regressed, his fears and anxiety returning. A few months ago, George went to his second lovely foster home and has since come on in leaps and bounds, gaining confidence, relaxing in to lots of snuggles and bonding with his human. Please see what his fosterer has to say about him here https://www.savingsaintsrescue.co.uk/foster-michael. Sadly, through no fault of his own, Goerge he is now back in kennels again and absolutely desperate for adoption.

Likes: Other dogs, running (usually in circles), hanging out with the girls and “generally strutting my stuff”

Dislikes: Strangers (who doesn’t?), change, unpredictablility, loneliness.

Best feature: Beautiful fur coat with tiger markings and a tail so curly “I can use it to get 5G on a phone”.

Unique feature: Speed. “ I could enter the Grand National, if only I could run straight.”

Special Power: “I can do an amazing sideways crab impression (probably why I end up running in circles) AND can curl my tongue and wag my tail at the same time!“
